The Rules & Guidelines of TROT
I. Player EtiquetteAll players must conduct themselves in a mature manner. We do not withstand rudeness, name calling, foul language or finger pointing. If anything must be brought to the admin's attention, you agree to do it in a discreet email. Admin has the right to remove players from the game for any reason stated above. Players also agree to not plagerize or violate copyright codes, and will ask original owners for permission before using photos or other images for their stables / associations / businesses. Credit must be given where credit is due. If credit is not found on stable/business/assocation pages, your establishment will be removed from TROT until it is able to be located. II. Player Responsibilities
III. Basic GameplayAll players will have one account. There is no need to have more then one account. If you are inactive for more then two months, we will take it that you have quit the game and your horses will be turned over to the Humane Society. You are always welcome to come back but your horses may have been adopted out, so take that into consideration. We take pride in having a tight knit community so please remain friendly and polite. If somebody bothers you, please contact an admin to work things out. Remember this is a SIM game so all play is based on your imagination but we do strive to remain realistic. We do not allow mythological creatures to be owned by players or unrealistic colored horses. So now purple unicorns or pink ponies please! Also, you may not create an already famous horse in TROT. For example, nobody may own Secretariat or Zip's Chocolate Chip. You may have them in pedigrees, but may not create their clones into TROT. We also do not allow two horses to exist with the same name. For example: Bob and Bob or TROT's Bob. IV. FinancesAll players start off with $100,000 and will recieve $10,000 a month in allowance. In order to receive the allowance, you must post in the "{Month} Activity Report" thread on the forum by the due date. V. Player Levels
VI. Neglect / InactivityBarn Owners will have their barn and horses suspended if they are inactive for one month. In order to remove yourself from the inactive list, you must pay a fine of $10,000. If you are a Boarder or a Barn Owner (including Mini Barns), your horses will be moved to the Humane Society within 2 months of inactive time. If you decide to return to TROT, and you were a donor, you may reclaim your horses from the Humane Society unless they are owned by somebody else. If you were not a donater, you must wait for Adoption Events and apply accordingly. What is Neglect? Failing to provide adequate care for horses is considered neglect. This includes:
Boarders: Mini-Barn Owners: Barn Owners: VII. Horse PointsWhat are horse points? Points are how a horse’s value is determined in TROT. They are cumulative and are never reset, nor can points be subtracted from a horse’s total. Why do I want to earn points? As your horses accumulate more points, they will eventually become eligible to carry a title of achievement.
The point system that must be followed, is used below. Remember that you are in charge of tallying your own points!
